Seeway Tanzania (SWTz) provides a home to orphaned and vulnerable children in Imbaseni village, Maji ya Chai Ward, close to Arusha in northern Tanzania. They run a family-style residential centre, with all Tanzanian staff.
Trish (aka Mrs TTR) has been closely involved with the project for the past 6 years. After a self-financed visit in 2009, Trish led a fundraising team that paid for their nursery to be built in 2010, and went out to paint the classrooms on her last visit! Small organisations like this don’t benefit from high profile fundraising yet they do more work on less money. Trish is in touch with Rebecca at SWTz every month and can vouch for the fact that there are no profiteers!
The current fund raising project is hoping to raise £7,500 to cover all their school fees for their residential children, and subsidise the SWTz nursery school running costs.
