Stephen Hanson

Stephen has spent over 30 years working as a commercial artist after doing his initial training at Batley Art College.

His prestigious career and catalogue of projects include household names such as, 'Danger Mouse', Roald Dahl's 'THE BFG', and more recently, being part of the visual development team on feature films such as, 'Flushed Away', 'Despicable Me', 'The Corpse Bride', 'Arthur Christmas', and 'Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists'.

For many years his chosen medium was ink and watercolour, but ever keen to evolve, his attention was drawn to experimenting with computers. By scanning in his original drawings onto the computer, then working on them in paint programmes using a stylus pen and computer tablet, Stephen is able to create a finished piece which has incredible detail and clarity.
